ReGen Powertech (ReGen) is one among the largest manufacturer of multi megawatt direct drive (gearless) WECs with permanent magnet technology in Indian market and provides full turnkey installations for wind power projects. ReGen has a technology licence agreement with Vensys of Germany for 1.5 MW / 2.5 MW and 3 MW synchronous permanent magnet gearless turbines. The permanent magnet generators are manufactured at the state of the art facility at Tada, Andhra Pradesh with a capacity to manufacture 500 WECs per annum. ReGen’s in house production comprise of Permanent Magnet Generator, Hub assembly, Nacelle assembly and Frequency Converters. The towers and rotor blades are outsourced from reputed vendors. The second manufacturing facility at Udaipur commenced operation in 2012 with an initial production capacity of 300 WECs per annum

Mr. MADHUSUDAN KHEMKA has over two decades of long and rich experience in all aspects of Wind Energy Converters such as Manufacturing, Marketing, Project Management, Customer Relationship Management, General Management, etc. He has been instrumental in pioneering the market for wind energy in India. He holds a Bachelors degree in Commerce from University of Punjab, but is technically inclined and possesses in-depth knowledge of the scientific aspects of the business.
Mr. R. SUNDARESH has over two decades of in-depth experience in Corporate Finance, Corporate Affairs, Law and General Management. He has vast experience and expertise in raising financial resources in the domestic and international market. His proficiency includes financial structuring of wind power projects. Sundaresh holds a Post Graduate degree in Commerce from the University of Madras and is a qualified Company Secretary.
Mr. VARAHALA RAO KAVALA is a former General Manager from Bharath Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL), the largest Power Equipment Manufacturing Company in India. He superannuated from BHEL service in June 2004. He is a Graduate in Mechanical Engineering with 49 years of Professional Experience in various fields encompassing Thermal Power Plant Engineering, Materials Management, Project Management and Development of Thermal Power Plants and Wind Turbine Power Plants apart from long years of experience in General Administration.
At the helm of ReGen Powertech is a strong management team whose combined expertise and experience steers the company towards its lofty goals. Mr. Varahala Rao Kavala, Director is a former General Manager from BHEL. He is a Graduate in Mechanical Engineering with 49 years of Professional Experience in various fields encompassing Thermal Power Plant Engineering, Materials Management, Project Management and Development of Thermal Power Plants and Wind Turbine Power Plants.
Mr Vijay O.Poddar, Executive Director – Finance.He has over 21 years’ experience as a Chartered Accountant in leading Companies and has handled assignments in working capital syndication and Trade Finance , cash flow planning and Management etc. His last assignment was as Head – Banking Operation and Finance ( Associate Vice President) in Wind World ( India) Ltd – erstwhile known as Enercon ( India) Limited.
